Last Saturday, around 200 farmers, agronomists, suppliers, buyers, bank representatives, policymakers, nutrition experts, teachers, and researchers gathered at Horaholm in Hornhuizen to learn about regenerative agriculture. Enthusiasm was high, and conversations between farmers and visitors sprang up everywhere.
An honest picture
Afterward, one message came through loud and clear: this gave people an honest picture.
"You're actually doing it in practice," said one of the farmers. Nothing was dressed up to look better than it is — just the reality of farming, warts and all.
One visitor who works in the financial sector put it well: "I go to a lot of regenerative agriculture events, but usually there are only one or two farmers there, and everyone talks about how great it all is. Here, all these farmers were present, and you actually get a realistic picture of what regenerative work looks like."
Proud and grateful
We look back on a successful open day with pride and gratitude! Thanks to everyone for being there.
